Our Dutch culture seems to be fading, but not in Den Helder. Since 1975, the Helderse Draaiorgelvrienden have been active to maintain a tradition. The 90-key street organ ‘de Harmonica’ is managed and operated by the volunteers of ‘Stichting Helderse Draaiorgelvrienden’. Almost every Saturday they are with the organ in the city center of Den Helder. On an original wooden, three-wheeled push cart and always turned by hand, as happened a century ago.
