We are mainly concerned with organizing beach rides and riding lessons, but we also regularly sell well-behaved recreation horses and ponies in the lower price range. The horses that we have are also used for the beach rides and the lessons, so they are not sport horses and we do not expect you to come to us for that. We offer horses that are healthy and of good character. Shortcomings are reported as much as possible when you purchase.

HDK Vocaal is a choir that was founded in 1949 by women who wanted to sing differently than classical or church music. We sing in various languages ??including English, French and Dutch and go in style from a Bergerette from the 18th century to this century.!

Fresh fish market every Friday afternoon in the harbor of Den Helder. You can find all fish species caught in the North Sea here from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Beach entrance Duinoord is the best equipped beach entrance of Den Helder, with plenty of parking space, its very own Beachclub the Citadel, and a guarded beach post in the summer season. In the direct surroundings there are a few nature areas like ''de Donkere Duinen'' and ''Mariëndal''. Duinoord has a nice, wide beach, and is often visited during the summer by both tourists and inhabitants of Den Helder. This beach has the Blue Flag and is being guarded.

Fort Dirksz Admiraal was built in 1812-1813 as the middle fort in the Stelling van Den Helder. The fort is named after the former mayor of Monnickendam, Cornelis Dirkszoon, who was admiral of the North Holland fleet during the Eighty Years' War. In an advanced position, in what was then still a swamp area, both Fort Oostoever and Fort Erfprins could be protected from this fort. During the Second World War, the German occupier made use of the fort by building an anti-aircraft battery on it. This is still completely present. The Helderse Fanfare Corps is founded 28th of August 1923 and has 2 departments, the amusement choir and de farmer's chapel 'de Bloaspoepers'
