Wieringen, a former island, now connected to the mainland by the Aflsluitdijk en Amsteldiepdijk lies at the Waddensea and the lakes: Amstelmeer and IJsselmeer. It’s only 15 minutes drive to the Nordsea beach. You will find lots of space and possibilties like surfing, sailing, swimming, wad-walking, biking,walking, fishing or sealspotting. Wieringer Islandmuseum “Jan Lont”
The farm of Jant Lont is an original Wieringer farm dating from 1854, is showing live and working on Wieringen. Special is the tilewall with bible exposures. The farm has been renovated in 2004-2005 and refurbished. It has a lot of information.
