The castle ‘t Huys in Nuwendore was a fortress built by Floris V to keep the rebellious West Frisians in check. The castle was built in the 13th century, at the same time as the castles in Medemblik, Wijdenes and Oudorp. The castle was destroyed at the end of the 14th century, probably as a result of a dike breach. The foundations were preserved by the National Monument Care in 1960 and a path has been made to it. The ruin is located in a bend of the West Frisian Zeedijk between Eenigenburg and Krabbendam on the Burchtweg. A booklet about this is for sale at the tourist office.

Biological-dynamic dairy farm De Buitenplaats
The Buitenplaats is a farm situated in the small and quiet village of Eenigenburg at the old West Frisian Omringdijk. At the farm, 25 cows are milked in the morning and at night, allowing everyone to come and see. There are some chickens scratching around the farm and there are 2 bungy bushes on the meadow with of course small calves. The land around the farm is mainly grassland, but potatoes are also grown.
