Het pand uit het jaar 1622 is gebouwd als rechthuis waar de rechtspraak van Barsingerhorn werd voltrokken. De klok in het torentje is gegoten in 1659. Van 1813 tot 1970 werd de oude raadkamer gebruikt voor de raadsvergaderingen van de gemeente. In 1866 werd het bezit overgedragen aan de gemeente.

The flour mill in Barsingerhorn was built in 1907 because in February 1907 the mill that stood here burned down in a fire. For the construction of a new mill/the current mill, a demolition mill was sought in the Zaan region.
