Buiten stands for delicious food and drinks, cozy bubbles and fun for young and old alike. A wide range of outdoor activities such as trampoline jumping and miniature golf at the edge of the Pettemer Forest, within walking distance of the beach, the sea and the dunes.

Kitesurfing in Petten? At Petten Kitesurfschool you have come to the right place! Kitesurfing is a spectacular water sport that can be learned quickly. The sport is versatile, you can just sail back and forth, but also make insanely high jumps and perform all kinds of tricks in the air. Petten aan zee is a great location to learn kitesurfing. With its wide and uncrowded beaches, there is plenty of room to learn kiting safely. Then out to sea. Although a bit more challenging than inland water, it is a lot cooler, especially if you surf your first wave.

The coast between Camperduin and Petten was dominated for a long time by the Hondsbossche Zeewering; a 5.5 kilometer long paved dike that protected the land from the sea.
