Street organ the Harmonica
Our Dutch culture seems to be fading, but not in Den Helder. Since 1975, the Helderse Draaiorgelvrienden have been active to maintain a tradition. The 90-key street organ 'de Harmonica' is managed and operated by the volunteers of 'Stichting Helderse Draaiorgelvrienden'. Almost every Saturday they are with the organ in the city center of Den Helder. On an original wooden, three-wheeled push cart and always turned by hand, as happened a century ago.

The Julianadorp Cultural Association
The Julianadorp Vooruit Cultural Association was established in 1958. This association was founded at the time with the aim of organizing various activities with a cultural dimension for the residents of Julianadorp and thereby bringing a lot of entertainment and fun to the village. The activities that are on the agenda nowadays cover a wider area including, for example, sporting festivities. An active club of volunteers ensures that the festivities take place every year.
