For many years we have been running our restaurant Golden Bridge with great pleasure. Quality, good food and good service are important to us. The menu consists more than 50 different small dishes. Delicious snacks from Chinese-Cantonese and Japanese cuisine, prepared from poultry, meat, fish and various vegetables. Steamed, grilled or fried.

Croissanterie Lodewijk Hendrikse 'the first and still the tastiest!' for a reason. With the three floors, authentic French atmosphere, tastiest sandwiches and always pleasant service, they have been a household name in Den Helder for more than 30 years!

Aquacentrum Den Helder operates the “Het Heersdiep” swimming pool, which is owned by the municipality of Den Helder. The swimming pool offers various indoor pools, a swimming pool, an outdoor pool, a diving tower and an extensive program with various activities. The Heersdiep is a swimming pool for young and old, recreational and sporty, individually and in a club.

In our cafe (often called a living room) you can still taste the ambiance of days long gone. An old, brown cafe, with two billiards, and old seats and tables where you can play some cards. As a guest, you get swept up in the stories of old. In our family hotel you can unwind, whilst enjoying our comfortable beds, using the Wi-Fi. Or you could get out there and explore the city of Den Helder. The city center is only 500 meters away, and the Old Royal Navy shipyard Willemsoord is even closer by!

Southeast of Den Helder lies the beautiful nature reserve World Heritage Waddenzee. The Balgzand is the the western part of the Waddenzee. This area is very important for migrating birds and for fish. To have as many people as possible know about this beautiful reserve, Nature information center Balgzand 't Kuitje hosts wad excursions organised by the Waddenvereniging.

Welcome to our comfortable B&B, located in a beautiful nature reserve, within walking distance of the beach, sea and dunes. Get a breath of fresh air or sunbathe on the beach, walk or cycle through the dunes, photograph the colorful bulb fields in the spring, or spend a day on Texel? Or visit the Navy Museum, the Atlantikwall center or Fort Kijkduin. Within walking distance you will also find De Helderse Vallei, a canoe rental and "De Donkere Duinen". The B&B is located in a quiet neighborhood. You will stay in a spacious room with your own compact bathroom (shower, sink and toilet).

This male choir currently has around 43 members. A choir that was born from the Helderse fishery. It has now grown into a group of singing men who stand their ground well during the performance. These performances not only cross the city limits of Den Helder, but even the land borders.
