Steamboat Y8211 and tugboat Dombo Y8017 are historical. The volunteers are working with a lot of passion to keep the boats in the water. It is possible to take a ride with the Dombo. The boat trips are organized alongside the Tourist Information Point.

Mindsz gallery & upcycle workplace has surprising and unique designer furniture and home accessories, made out of recycled materials. Upcycling is the base principle with which we work, where durability and recycling are important factors. Materials and objects are being re-used and usually get a totally different function. Every product has a unique characters because of it. Mindsz also has the goal to offer a workplace for people who are psychologically vulnerable and have a big distance to the job market.

Smartlappenkoor Ordinaria is a four-part choir that has been around for more than 20 years. We sing smartlaps, life songs and Dutch-language repertoire. Every year we participate in Music Day, Summer Dreams and other events.

Welcome to our comfortable B&B, located in a beautiful nature reserve, within walking distance of the beach, sea and dunes. Get a breath of fresh air or sunbathe on the beach, walk or cycle through the dunes, photograph the colorful bulb fields in the spring, or spend a day on Texel? Or visit the Navy Museum, the Atlantikwall center or Fort Kijkduin. Within walking distance you will also find De Helderse Vallei, a canoe rental and "De Donkere Duinen". The B&B is located in a quiet neighborhood. You will stay in a spacious room with your own compact bathroom (shower, sink and toilet).

Canoe rental Den Helder is located at The Helderse Vallei, the center of all canoe routes that Den Helder and Julianadorp are rich in. From here you can see all sides. In addition to the 4 well-defined routes, there are several waterways that are excellent for canoeers and SUPpers (stand up peddeling). We offer single and double canoes and kayaks and triple Canadian canoes. You can also rent longboards and SUP's and we also provide SUP and canoe clinics.

In the beautiful North Holland coastal area, with it's great diversity of landscapes, CAN Vakantiehuizen offers many cottages / bungalows in various parks in Julianadorp / Den Helder and Breezand. Within the Stelling Den Helder, it was decided that an armored coastal fort had to be built on the sandbank Harssens. It wouldn't be the only armored coastal fort, but it would be a unique one in shape and execution. To man the fort, a new regiment was established. Fort Harssens is unique because of the biggest canons that have ever been put on top of a fort. In two domes, there were two canons each with a diameter of 30,5 cm (12'', 1'). Directed at navigation channel Molengat, they could propel objects up to 7 kilometers away. De domes were moved by hydraulics en could turn 360 degrees.
