In the direct surroundings you will find a beautiful nature area with great cycling and walking opportunities, and an extensive canoe-route. In Den Helder with the most beautiful beaches and most solar hours, the studio of Photo Studio Ad Biersteker is partially converted into a cozy apartment with a beautiful sunny roof terrace. Your apartment has HD TV with internet, oven / microwave, full kitchen utensils, dishwasher, free wifi, washer and dryer, and parking is free for the door.

Up to 2 nights is maximum stay. Reservations are not possible but there are plenty of places. The rate is € 10, - per night, this includes: tourist tax, Wi-fi. the discharge of sewage and use of showers, toilets and baby care room. To use the laundry you can purchase a sep-key at the tourist information office or the harbour master.

Beach entrance Duinoord is the best equipped beach entrance of Den Helder, with plenty of parking space, its very own Beachclub the Citadel, and a guarded beach post in the summer season. In the direct surroundings there are a few nature areas like ''de Donkere Duinen'' and ''Mariëndal''. Duinoord has a nice, wide beach, and is often visited during the summer by both tourists and inhabitants of Den Helder. This beach has the Blue Flag and is being guarded.
