Several times a year competitions for sailing boats and tours for motor boaters are organized such as the opening championships, 4-port competition, dab race, eel race etc.

Op het hoogste punt van Wieringen, misschien wel van Noord Holland, zo'n 13 meter boven zeeniveau en met mooi uitzicht op het wad is de Wieringer Frietkraam gevestigd. Het is een vaste standplaats voor het hele jaar dus 5 dagen per week de mogelijkheid om een eigen gemaakt frietje, kroket en zelfs de Scheltenburger te komen smullen. De piepers komen van Maarten Kikkert van het land en het vlees van de kroket komen van de koetjes van Maarten. De Scheltenburger is natuurlijk ook van de koetjes van Wieringer Bodem. Alles heerlijk zelfgemaakt!
