Wijndomein Slootgaert
Near the birthplace of his father, Erik Koopman and his wife Mariëlle de Bont took over the Wijndomein de Slootgaert in 2016. With a plot of 1.25 hectares of grapes with 3 varieties of white and 3 varieties of red. They also make rosé. The wine domain has a company building where they make their own wines. There is a covered terrace and a tasting room. Ideal for conducting tours and tastings.

Nieuwendoorn
Castle Nieuwendoorn. Foundations of the in the 13th century founded castle Nieuwendoorn. Located between Eenigenburg and Krabbendam this was one of the castles of Count Floris the V. Around 1280 founded and after his dead in 1296 besieged by the West Frisians. People restored the castle. When you arrive at the first brigde across the channel, you come on the country place. There used to be the cowsheds/horsestables. Across the second bridge you come via the gatetower in the country place. On the left side is the defence tower. The area is reachable via 'Hollands Noorden Route'.

“Kroontjesbunker” (FL250)
The FL250 was nicknamed 'Kroontjesbunker' because of the shape of the tower. In the bunker the flight movements of aircraft were coordinated. This bunker is located in a nature reserve.

Defence line of Den Helder
The 'Stelling of Den Helder' is one of the oldest stll presence military defensive lines in the Netherlands. The 'stelling' is build in commisioned by Napoleon as a protection of navy base Willemsoord. The city of Den Helder got his shape because of the 'Stelling' which is still seeable in the landscape. The 'Stelling of Den Helder' is very important for the authenticity and identity of Den Helder.

Palendorp Petten
If you are in Petten aan Zee, be sure to take a look at the Palendorp monument on the beach near Bergeendstraat. This beautiful work of art consists of 160 poles of six to twelve meters in length. The poles are in the shape of ten houses and a church. It is a reminder of old Petten, which was flooded by the sea long ago.

Wieringer Skuutje WR60
The Wieringer Skuutje WR60, built in 1840, is the oldest sailing fishing vessel in the Netherlands and owned by the Skuutje WR60 Foundation. The Skuutje is registered as a sailing monument in the Register of Sailing Heritage Netherlands (RVEN).

Lighthouse de Lange Jaap
When you look towards Den Helder, at night you can see a bright light shining from miles away (33,5 miles to be exact!). It's ''De Lange Jaap''; the symbol of Den Helder. It is the tallest cast-iron lighthouse of Europa, and the second-highest lighthouse in the Netherlands. It towers above everything else at 63 meters tall.
