Walking through the beautiful nature of the northernmost part of North Holland is a challenging guided nature walk of approximately 15 kilometers through various nature reserves between Julianadorp and Den Helder. Accompanied by a guide from Landschap Noord-Holland, participants discover the Noordduinen, Grafelijkheidsduinen, Mariëndal, and the Refugium, among others.
The route leads along the beach, through dunes and forest, and through various types of natural wilderness. It follows both regular walking paths and partially runs along the coastline. The walk takes approximately five hours and has a pace of about 5 kilometers per hour. Along the way, there are moments when the guide provides explanations about the nature and the landscape. In addition, breaks for drinks and snacks are included.
The walk is suitable for experienced walkers aged 12 and up. Participants are advised to wear sturdy walking shoes and suitable (rain) clothing, and to bring sufficient food and drink. Binoculars may be brought along for those who wish to view the nature and surroundings further along the way.
