The winter months become magical in Schagen with the atmospheric Schagen on Ice ! Enjoy a cozy ice rink in the center, where young and old can enjoy themselves on the ice. In addition to free skating, the event offers an extensive program full of unique activities and events.
Curling tournament
Test your precision and teamwork on our curling rinks! On Saturday 7, 14, 21 and 28 December you can participate with a team of four people. The matches start at 21:00 and there is room for a maximum of twenty teams.
Skating clinic
Learn the tricks of the ice skating trade during a special clinic on Monday 23 December, organised by skating club ‘t Zwanenwater. From 10:00 to 12:00, children aged 6 to 12 are welcome to enter the ice like a real skating champion.
Disco skating and Glow in the Dark Disco
Swing on the ice during the disco skating evenings! On Friday 6, 20 December and 3 January you can experience the ultimate skating disco from 19:00 to 21:00. For extra spectacle, the Glow in the Dark Disco evenings on Friday 13 and 27 December.
Dinner on Ice and Silent Disco
On Sunday 15 December, join us for the culinary highlight of the winter: Dinner on Ice . From 19:00 you can enjoy delicious food in a unique setting on the ice, complete with a cozy silent disco.
Schagen on Ice-Bike Challenge
Do you dare to take on the challenge? During the Ice-Bike Challenge you can cycle on the ice with special ice bikes. This spectacular event takes place on Tuesday 10, 17 December, Monday 23 December and Thursday 2 January from 18:30 to 20:30 and is suitable for children from 5 to 14 years old.
Toddler skates
Every Sunday morning the ice is reserved for the littlest ones. From 10:00 to 12:00 toddlers can safely take their first steps skating in a quiet environment. Parents are of course welcome to join in!
Ice hockey match
Don’t miss the exciting ice hockey match on Monday 30th December from 20:30 to 22:00. A spectacle to watch and a great end to the year.
Please note: various activities are planned on the ice rink (including toddler skating, clinics and curling competitions). During these activities, the ice rink is not freely accessible.
