Lichtjesloop

Lichtjesloop

The Lichtjesloop has grown into one of the most atmospheric exercise events in the region. As soon as evening falls, a long string of light forms, winding through the streets of Den Helder. The participants themselves are part of the spectacle. From lights on the shoulders to colorful lights in the hand: together they form an impressive moving ribbon of light through the city.

A suitable route for every hiker

Whether you are heading out with young children, want to take a relaxing evening stroll, or simply enjoy walking a few extra kilometers: there is a suitable route for everyone. Participants can choose from an accessible 2.5-kilometer route, a 5-kilometer route, or a challenging 10-kilometer trek. This makes the Lichtjesloop suitable for families, groups of friends, colleagues, sports teams, and avid walkers.

Entertainment and surprises along the way

A юбилей edition naturally calls for something extra. Team Sportservice is therefore pulling out all the stops, including a spectacular opening. Every route begins with a special flyboard show on the water between Weststraat and Willemsoord. The show starts ten minutes before the respective route begins.

There is also plenty to experience along the way. Hikers are surprised along the routes by special acts, entertainment, and atmospheric moments that make the evening extra special.

A festive anniversary edition

This year is entirely dedicated to the tenth anniversary. Therefore, extra emphasis is being placed on entertainment, lights, and participants to make this edition a festive milestone. A special anniversary package is available for groups, allowing friends, family members, colleagues, or sports teams to participate in the event together.

Anyone who buys a ticket before October 1st also stands a chance to win a festive anniversary goodie bag.

You can also join without a walking buddy

Anyone who would like to participate but does not have a walking buddy need not miss the tenth Lichtjesloop. Through the Wandelbuddy’s, participants can easily join other walkers, just like last year. Before the start, there is a short and lighthearted get-to-know-you game to learn each other’s names and have a laugh together.
