From May to the end of August 2026, Julianadorp will be transformed into a unique open-air art festival: the Julianadorp Sand Spectacle. At four unique locations throughout the village, visitors can admire magnificent, meter-high sand sculptures created by sand artists without machines, using only sand, water, and craftsmanship.
The images tell fascinating stories about life by the sea, the royal family, tulip fields and the feeling of freedom that a day at the beach brings.
Visitors can admire the artworks at Loopuytpark, Landalpark Ooghduyne, the Zee van Tijd beach club, and the Dorperweerth shopping center. They’re perfect for combining with a walk, a coffee break, or a day out.
In May, you can see the artists at work as they build the sculptures; an inspiring process to witness up close. For creative youngsters and anyone interested, there’s also a drawing contest: design your own sand sculpture, and who knows, your idea might come to life as a life-size work of art!
