On Saturday, April 11th, you’ll be walking the updated route of the Half of Den Helder . No stopwatch, no rush, just 21.1 kilometers of nature, dike, dunes, and city. Start at Willemsoord, explore the Dark Dunes, walk along the Marsdiep canal, and finish where you began, full of satisfaction.
One route, endless views
The walk follows the same beautiful route as the runners. Along the way, you’ll enjoy the Grafelijkheidsduinen dunes, the Zeedijk, the wooded area near Duinoord, and the vibrant city center. Take your time, take photos, and experience Den Helder in bloom.
Walking is something you do together
All participants start at Willemsoord, near Theater De Kampanje. The route is clearly marked. There are refreshment stations along the way with water and support. Whether you’re running with friends or solo, you’re never alone.
