This year, Toneelgroep Contact presents TRUUK in a surprising setting: the warehouse of Beers Transport in Winkel. Don’t expect a classic play, but a compelling location performance in which the industrial space itself plays a leading role. Director Kirsten Dijk and the permanent cast create a unique theatre experience full of pace, humour and emotion, in which the audience is immersed in a lively story that seamlessly connects to the location.
What makes TRUUK extra special is the way in which the players and the location reinforce each other. Each character is designed with care and pleasure, partly created during the rehearsal process at the performance location itself.
