On Tuesday, June 2, Scholen aan Zee in Den Helder transforms into a vibrant place of discovery for young researchers. During the Technology Promotion Event (PET), primary school students from the region get hands-on with technology and science. They build, program, measure, experiment, and discover the full potential of technology.
Doing, experiencing, and discovering
In three 1.5-hour rounds (round 1: 09:00 – 10:30, round 2: 10:45 – 12:15, round 3: 12:45 – 14:15), children participate in workshops that make technology tangible. From building robots to taking measurements, every activity is designed to spark curiosity. The workshops are active, varied, and tailored to Group 7 pupils.
For schools and (grand)parents
Participating schools from Den Helder, Schagen, and Hollands Kroon can register from March 2 to April 17. Teachers and parents/grandparents are also welcome. The PET Event is not only educational, but above all, fun to experience together.
Get to know the world of technology
Children learn where technology fits into their daily lives and discover new interests. There might be a future inventor in your class, or at home at the kitchen table. This event helps them take their first step.
