The new season kicks off musically at the Dorpsplein in ‘t Veld. An afternoon packed with live performances, familiar sounds, and local talent, all outdoors, right in the heart of the village.
At 1:00 PM, the Wieringer Shanty’s kick off with nostalgic songs for all ages. Singing along is welcome, and just enjoying the quiet is fine too. Then, The Band Junior takes the stage, backed by the experienced musicians of Rock ‘n Roll Fabriek. Young talent with courage, energy, and a love for live music. The square gets going from 3:00 PM.
The day will be closed out by the revived band Splinter from Tuitjenhorn. Expect a solid classic rock set with blues influences. Raw, relatable, and full of fun, a wonderful way to end a musical afternoon.
Admission is free and everyone is welcome. Bring a chair or find a spot on the square and enjoy the season opening at ‘t Veld together.
