At the Maritime Museum, you and your whole family will experience an interactive and educational day full of activities. Test your strength as a sailor, learn how to repair ships, and delve into the traditions of the navy. Dress up and have your picture taken with Michiel de Ruyter’s family and discover which of his inventions are still in use today.

Theatre performance: Secret Depths

Follow Sailor Bakker during his adventure aboard a submarine.

Michiels Matrozen (children’s bootcamp)

Train like a real sailor, work together, and overcome obstacles.

When: every Wednesday and Friday during the holidays

Children’s Art Studio

Build a submarine, dress up as a sailor, or get creative with LEGO.

When: every Tuesday and Thursday during the holidays

Rope making demonstration

Learn the craft that Michiel learned as a boy and help out yourself.

Meet De Ruyter’s constable

Discover everything about weapons and naval battles from the 17th century.

All activities are free of charge with a valid admission ticket.
