Bernd van den Bos – Plays Freddie Mercury is a musical theatre concert in which pianist, bandleader, producer, and songwriter Bernd van den Bos pays tribute to one of the most versatile pop icons of all time: Freddie Mercury.
During the concert, well-known Queen and Mercury classics will be performed, including Love of My Life , We Are the Champions , Somebody to Love, and Bohemian Rhapsody . Bernd performs these songs on piano, with some renditions staying close to the original and others receiving a surprising, personal interpretation.
In addition to the music, Bernd talks about the musical and personal development of Freddie Mercury and shares fascinating background stories about the singer and his repertoire. This creates a varied performance in which music, stories, and surprising elements come together.
The concert takes place on November 15, 2026, in the Lucaskerk in Winkel and lasts from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Admission is €20 per person.
