Emotion takes center stage in the new edition of KOPSTUKKEN, the cultural talk show by the Cultuur in de Noordkop foundation. What does art do to you? How do you convey feeling on stage, in music, or in visual arts? Presenters Charlotte de Koomen and Simone Bruin discuss this with creators and cultural initiators from the Noordkop.
The music this time is provided by guitarist and singer Koos Slippens. Theatre teacher Suzan Vermeulen talks about how to add depth to a piece performed by amateur associations. How do you convey emotions credibly to the audience, for example? Heleen Kroon from Studio1931 also joins the discussion. She talks about Studio1931 and her commitment to connecting makers, art, and the environment.
A special guest is sculptor Roland de Jong Orlando. His geometric-abstract sculptures belong to the Concrete Art movement. He works with systems, patterns, and mathematical principles, such as number sequences and symmetry. During KOPSTUKKEN, he will talk about his new work and about the question of how emotion finds a place in art that is built so strongly from structure and mathematics.
In the regular book segment, Danielle de Boer from The Dutch Bookshelf discusses the book Een jaar zonder lente by Nadine Swagerman. In the regular video segment ‘cultural sleuths’, in which two young women visit and interview artists, we meet art photographer Marlies Siewertsen. Finally, Elly Doolaard from De Keesschuur takes the audience through the upcoming cultural program.
KOPSTUKKEN brings together makers, associations, and the public from Schagen and Hollands Kroon. Afterwards, there is an opportunity to chat and network with the guests and other visitors.
