Beach entrance Huisduinen
Beach entrance Huisduinen lies almost under de most beautiful and oldest lighthouse of the Netherlands, called ''de Lange Jaap'' and is named after the old village Huisduinen, which lies directly next to it. This beach is a nice and quiet family beach, with its own paviljon ''Factor 30''. You can find the toilets and beach shower here. In de surrounding area there is a beautiful old fort - ''Fort Kijkduin'', which you can visit. It has a magnificent sea fish tank, and a overview of the history of this fort. You can walk and cycle in a big dune area ''de Grafelijkheidsduinen''.

Beach entrance Julianadorp aan Zee
Beach Julianadorp aan Zee is a beach with a four star status, and has been in the top 10 of nicest beaches of the Netherlands for years. On this beach you can also find the nicest beach houses of the Netherlands. They are for rent at Landal Greenparks, who also own a bungalow park in the area (Landal Ooghduyne). At the beach there is a brand new guarded beach post with First Aid and toilets. There are good accommodations for disabled persons, with a parking spot for themselves, a seating spot and a modified toilet.

Art and Nature project “De Nollen”
Art and Nature project The Nollen is an initiative of artist R.W. van de Wint. In 1980 Van de Wint began with a painterly experiment in the old dunes "De Nollen". That grew into paintings, sculptures and structures. The Nollen is a project in the making. "R. W. Wint" unexpectedly died in May 2006 of a heart attack. Visitors make, accompanied by a guide, a walk along steel sculptures and monumental structures.

Zwanenwater
Behind the dunes, just south of Callantsoog lies the nature reserve "Zwanenwater". The landscape consists of dunes, plains, swamp, pine forest and two lakes surrounded with overgrowth. Through a trail, 2 or 4 ½ miles, gives the visitor an idea of the landscape and the variety of plants and birds. Dogs are not allowed. Members have free access. Non-members pay € 1.50 at the entrance (automatic). Children under 12 are free.

Lighthouse de Lange Jaap
When you look towards Den Helder, at night you can see a bright light shining from miles away (33,5 miles to be exact!). It's ''De Lange Jaap''; the symbol of Den Helder. It is the tallest cast-iron lighthouse of Europa, and the second-highest lighthouse in the Netherlands. It towers above everything else at 63 meters tall.

Pettemerbos
The Pettemerbos is located north of Petten, just behind the dunes. In this beautiful area you can walk between maples, oaks, heathlands and holly bushes on winding forest paths and shell paths.
