Fort Erfprins
Fort Erfprins is a nineteenth-century fortress west in the city of Den Helder. With an area of ??49 ha. Erfprins is the largest fortress in the Netherlands. The fort was designated as a national monument in June 1973 and the fort is part of the Den Helder Defense Line which was constructed from 1807 onwards. At this moment it is still in use as a naval barracks. Every now and then, historical tours are given.

Fort Kijkduin
Follow in the footsteps of Napoleon Did you know that sharks live in the North Sea? Would you dare to feed them? This is possible in the North Sea aquarium of Fort Kijkduin! A visit to the aquarium is an exciting and educational adventure where you learn everything about the underwater life in the Wadden and North Sea. Spectacular is the 15-metre-long walk-through tunnel. The historical museum of the fort is also very interesting. Walk through underground tunnels and discover 200 years of military history about Den Helder and the Napoleonic fortress itself. The new family exhibition explores the lives and work of the soldiers stationed in the fort in 1939 during the mobilization of the Dutch army.

Recreation harbour Schagen
Recreation port Schagen is also recommended for camper tourists. There are 21 parking spaces for campers, with electricity connections. The port is about 500 meters away from the city center and the facilities are modern and optimal.

Wijndomein Slootgaert
Near the birthplace of his father, Erik Koopman and his wife Mariëlle de Bont took over the Wijndomein de Slootgaert in 2016. With a plot of 1.25 hectares of grapes with 3 varieties of white and 3 varieties of red. They also make rosé. The wine domain has a company building where they make their own wines. There is a covered terrace and a tasting room. Ideal for conducting tours and tastings.

Korenmolen De Hoop
The monumental mill 'De Hoop' state since 1913 at the Molenpad in 't Zand. The mill was built in 1631 in Wormerveer as mill 'De Bok' and has since had various functions. It was the fifth oil mill that was founded in Wormerveer.
