Fort Erfprins
Fort Erfprins is a nineteenth-century fortress west in the city of Den Helder. With an area of ??49 ha. Erfprins is the largest fortress in the Netherlands. The fort was designated as a national monument in June 1973 and the fort is part of the Den Helder Defense Line which was constructed from 1807 onwards. At this moment it is still in use as a naval barracks. Every now and then, historical tours are given.

The new family exhibition explores the lives and work of the soldiers stationed in the fort in 1939 during the mobilization of the Dutch army.

Hortus Bulborum historical flowerbulbgarden Limmen
The Hortus Bulborum is the only garden in the world with over 4500 different kinds of bulbs in full bloom each year. They vary from tulips, daffodils and hyacinths to other, most historical species of flower bulbs. From a commercial point of view, most of the flowers on show are no longer worth growing, but in our Hortus they are carefully preserved for later generations. Each spring thousands of close ranged flowerbeds, measuring from 22 to 108 square feet, show their brilliant colours in a stunning variety and spread their exceptional fragrances.

Utopia Hoeve
Utopia Hoeve is located in Schagerbrug since 2009. Before the advent of Schagerbrug was from 1994 already hobby way goats milked in Assendelft. These goats were mostly spotted goats. The milk in Assendelft was already traditionally verkaast. This means that the raw milk is processed without heat treatment, hence the name farmer goat cheese. In Schagerbrug the goats have a very spacious straw yard. They can move over and be milked 2x a day.
