Following last year’s success, nine museums in the municipality of Schagen will open their doors again this year during the Open Museum Weekend on 10 and 11 May 2025. Between 11:00 and 16:00, all participating museums are free to enter and offer a varied programme full of special activities for young and old.
Take a journey through time with unique exhibitions and experiences, including thematic programs around 80 years of liberation, historical films, re-enactors in uniform, and old army vehicles. Children can enjoy treasure hunts, old Dutch games, origami folding, making buttons and more.
At each museum you will receive an original souvenir, such as a key ring or notebook. Collect stamps in your Museum Passport and when your card is full you have a chance to win a VVV voucher of €100!
