Ensemble Lumaka, consisting of flutist Jana Machalett, cellist Charles Watt, and harpist Miriam Overlach, creates a magical atmosphere with their playing. In an intimate setting filled with warm candlelight, they bring a program full of surprising musical stories to life. The concert, titled “In a Landscape – Stories of Owl, Swan, and Dragonfly,” explores nature in all its capricious beauty.
The music, by composers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, paints images of dragonflies, streams, dormant ponds, and overgrown paths. With their refined interplay and sense of atmosphere, Lumaka effortlessly transports the audience to a world of sound and imagination – a rare musical experience that moves and astonishes.
