From Friday, July 24th to Sunday, July 26th, the harbor of Den Helder will come alive. During the Jutterhavendagen (Combination Harbor Days), everything revolves around the sea, ships, and the city. You’ll stroll among the classic ships, see traditional crafts in action, and enjoy music, food, and a friendly atmosphere. Note: the event is still subject to change, so keep an eye on the date.
Feel the maritime atmosphere up close
Climb aboard a tall ship. Watch rope-making or net-mending demonstrations. Taste fresh fish, listen to sea shanties, or witness a rescue operation up close. Everything takes place on and around the quays.
Something to do for young and old
Children can climb, craft, or join a boat tour. You can relax on the terrace or stroll along the boats with a beer. There’s always something new happening. From a small theater to a shanty choir, from a ship’s engine to a food truck.
A weekend full of sea stories and atmosphere
Plan your visit wisely: some activities only take place once. Friday often kicks things off with music, Saturday is the busiest, and Sunday is wonderfully relaxed.
