Every year, Sinterklaas’s arrival in Schagen is a magical moment for all ages. Santa Claus arrives in the city and, accompanied by his cheerful helpers, makes a festive procession through the center. Along the way, he accepts drawings, takes photos with children, and hands out cheerful greetings. The route takes in Nieuwstraat, the Makado Centrum, and Nieuwe Laagzijde, with pleasant stops along the way.
At the Market Square, the Marsepietenband awaits to complete the festive atmosphere with cheerful Sinterklaas songs. The atmosphere is warm and festive, the city is bathed in red and white, and laughter and music fill the air.
